| CRAFTING Dalelands Beyond does not use official Neverwinter Nights 2 crafting system. It has its own system that may contain some elements from the official game. Crafting is a great way to tailor your own equipment to your taste, as well as establish yourself as a merchant willing to sell its products to other player characters or host on auction house. Welcome to Dalelands Beyond Crafting. Crafting essences requires the craft alchemy skill; faint, weak, glowing and radiant essences have different DC's. Enchanting requires the craft magical arms and armor feat. Feat Craft Wondrous Item is not required on our server and it does not serve any purpose. This guide has been written by Nexuzium. - ESSENCE MATERIALS:

- ESSENCE CRAFTING:
Faint essences are made with a mortar and pestle, requires craft alchemy 10. You need 5 of x material; see essence materials above. Place your materials in an alchemy workbench (works like a chest) and use the mortal and pestle on it. This will turn 5 of a specific material into 1 faint essence, which is placed directly into your inventory upon creation. Note: you can place as many types and stacks of materials as you want; this can make the alchemy process much faster, as it processes different materials at the same time.
Weak essences are made with weak essence recipes, requires craft alchemy 15. You need 6 faint essences of x element. You must have the faint essences inside your inventory and stand near an alchemy workbench, use the weak essence recipe. This will turn 6 faint essences into 1 weak essence, which is placed directly into your inventory upon creation. Note: a weak essence equals 30 of x material.
Glowing essences are made with glowing essence recipes, requires craft alchemy 20. You need 4 weak essences of x element. You must have the weak essences inside your inventory and stand near an alchemy workbench, use the glowing essence recipe. This will turn 4 weak essences into 1 glowing essence, which is placed directly into your inventory upon creation. Note: a glowing essence equals 120 of x material.
Radiant essences are made with radiant essence recipes, requires craft alchemy 25. You need 2 glowing essences of x element. You must have the glowing essences inside your inventory and stand near an alchemy workbench, use the radiant essence recipe. This will turn 2 glowing essences into 1 radiant essence, which is placed directly into your inventory upon creation. Note: a radiant essence equals 240 of x material.

| I confirmed today that Dire Wolf Teeth don't yield Faint Water essences, contrary to what the IG description says.
Poison Stingers and Merrow Claws do not yield anything either even though they are described as crafting components. I'm sure there is one more of these, but I can't remember what it is. |

| Smithing skill requirements are total skill points including buffing spells, ability bonuses and equipment bonuses. They depend on the material being crafted and for Mithral/Adamantine, what you are crafting . Here is the list:

| The skill levels needed for essence crafting are as follows: 10 to extract a faint essence from reagents and +5 for each level of refining them. So
Extract Faint Essence 10 (correct value - post on Proboards is incorrect) Make Weak Essence 15 Make Glowing Essence 20 Make Radiant Essence 25
As usual, the skill level is set by the total of skill points and any bonuses from abilities, spells and equipment |

| I figured out Sonic 1d4 damage.
Need: 2 weak air essences and 1 weak earth essence 1 Amethyst gem lesser orb of sound spell recipe 1d4 sonic damage
